Top mathematicians from year 4, 5 and 6 at the British International School Shanghai’s Puxi campus entered the respected International Singapore Maths Competition (ISMC) for the first time this year.
Wonderful news followed the competition, as the talented young team gained 2 gold awards, 4 silver awards and 4 bronze awards in the competition. Over 2,000 children took part in ISMC from 24 countries. The students completed a 90 minute paper designed for their particular age group and then submitted it to be marked by the organizers.
Special mention must go to the two top scorers, Daniel Saifuden, who came 18th of 930 participants and Naho Sasaki, who came 33rd out of 817 participants.
